The filters present in Adobe Photoshop’s creative filters sections can be applied and combined in order to do certain creative modifications to images. This option can be found in the Filter>Filter Gallery section. Many filters can be combined by using this method, but all of them.
This method allows for multiple filters to be used on one image in the same time rather than guessing which different setting can be combined with another filter. All of the filters opened in the integrated window will not take effect thus allowing the changing of the settings until you press the OK button.

The series of procedures is as follows: choosing and adjusting a certain filter, the selection of the new filter in the middle pane, with its particular adjustments in the right part of the dialog window, adding and adjusting a next filter and so on.
The first step is to prepare the image before entering the Filter Gallery option window.
It is best advisable to prepare the image first before applying some of the filters. Some such modifications are not present in the Filter Gallery and must be worked with first (options such as smoothing of fine detail or adding detail).
Before entering the Filter Gallery, use the layer option to create a copy of your layer, so layer blending will be performed more easily, while letting one play with blending settings and opacity, in order to either soften or enhance the effects applied.
After the initial filer selections and adjustment has been done, before switching to a different filter, the adding of a filter to the stack is required. This is done by clicking the New Effect layer button.
The order of filters in the stack can be modified by dragging filters up or down in the stack. The final aspect of the image can often vary substantially by the order in which different filters are applied.
While a fine-tuning a filter’s settings is performed, the hiding one or even more effects in the stack can be desired. Use the eyeball column to do this. Filters in Photoshop are cumulative, which means that the changes made to one can be changed by modifying other filters in the stack later.
There are filters that are not present in the Filter Gallery, but only in the Filter menu.
Also many filters do not work unless the image color depth is set to 8–bit RGB.
